Turkish-American Relations: Cleaning The Wreckage

The new US president Barack Obama, has put forward his will for cleaning the wreckage Bush administration had created in Turkish–American relations. Ankara and Washington has declared that they now look at the matters of the region from nearly same window. They are obviously agree in principals.

This visit marks a very historical moment for that reason. Obama administration seems to aware to the fact that Turkey now is an important and determining actor in thorny regional affairs and could be a real partner of the United States in dealing with the region. But new administration should also understand another important fact that Turkey would play that role if only perceived and behaved like a real partner.
We would like to recommend the new foreign policy elite of White House a detailed reading and deeply understanding of new Turkish foreign policy parameters. That would help preventing unfortunate road accidents.
